I think you will George. Those isobars are way too close together for the wellbeing of a windsurfer.

I'm hoping it's a Sunday session, not Monday. Still a long ways off so we'll see what happens, but given current modelling it might be too South on Monday for Primbee. I'm crossing my fingers for Sunday.

Its been so long since I've windsurfed. I think I've forgotten how to do it.

westerly wind is very gusty, combined with the chilly weather. Unless there is good southerly wind, I wont go to the water.
This winter, whenever there is wind, rain will come at the same time, no fun.
I have not been windsurfed for 2 months now, I need a comfortable environment ro pick this sport up again

That's completely understandable Benyip. It's pretty un-motivating to get out in the freezing cold, especially when it's wet and windy too.

The cold I can deal with although it was really bloody freezing on sunday. What did me in was the gusty conditions it was vicious. The lulls were huge and the 25 to 30 knot gusts were hitting like a linebacker on a roid rage. It was possible to sail but it was just so unsettled I didn't manage one good run.A disappointing day but we might get some breeze for the midwinters so that will more than compensate. Some GPS or slalom would be awesome.

Agree with you Cluffy, Sunday was freezing indeed. Conditions were pretty bad.

But Monday at Budgewoi made up for it IMO. Nice flat water, sunny and a reasonable breeze = good times.

Sorry I did not say "Hi". Cheers.

No worries mate I'll definitely bump into you again I loved it at Budgie I had one nice blast in the mirror smooth stuff and I was hooked. I was kind of surprised at how clear the water was and the sandy bottom. Would that be due to the east coast low floods flushing the place out and the cold water temperature? surely the place would get a bit on the nose in summer?

Monday was definitely the pick of the weather... sunny and very windy. Primbee clocked gusts in the high 30s.

Looks like there's another front due on Friday, but I'm all out of leave passes from work. Hopefully Saturday will deliver something reasonable.

I'm going for Friday! If the swell isn't too out of control, Bulli. If it's too wild then primbee, but sailing east west. Bump and jump ( or stack it) in the middle!

Thinking about nicking off from work early on Friday for a Lake Woolomboola experience...

I could be tempted, demands how strong it is... If it's in the high 30's I'm not sure I'll have a sail small enough.
and wollumboula is ccccccccold

Well, here ya go boys. It looks like it'll get even crazier than the Monday we just had. Primbee will be a crazy whitewash. Hopefully there'll be some wind left for us mere mortals on Saturday :)

Tricky, I think it will be dangerous at Bulli with large surf expected along with 40 knots SW.

Looking forward to seeing how you all go out there.

Enjoy!

That shares my frustration, when wind comes, rain will come as well. When rain comes at the same time, very gusty wind follows
Sigh....

Monday was sunny, warm and about 30-35knts Tomorrow won't be so nice, but Saturday could be reasonable if you're happy to brave a bumpy Southerly at most spots. Maybe you need to treat yourself to a new 4/3 or 5/4 steamer Benyip.

I was in Dolls Point. It was enjoyable, not ideal conditions, sometimes not enough wind to beach start, sometimes, too much power with my 5.5,
still got enough planing time

A bit strange feeling after not windsurfing for 2 months, saturday was a good time for me to pick up again.

Weather is too cold to me, waterstart is not fun at all, and the flucation of the wind, I choose to uphaul instead!!!

After submerging my body in the water for a while, It is too cold up to a point where my head feel a little bit dizzy, and my legs are little paralysed, so I know I have to stop for a day.

Hope you all got out there in some breeze today. Must admit I didn't think it was going to eventuate and was caught off guard. Eager to see what everyone turns in on GPSTC.

Here's the reading from Primbee at 3PM

And at 5PM

Looks like we're in for an interesting week with plenty of promising days. Wednesday and Thursday look to be the pick, but Monday and Tuesday also look to have potential.
