Just giving everyone a heads up someone else was stung at the bottom of the steps yesterday at Manly by a stonefish.
There seems to be a lot more rocks at the foot of the steps recently, maybe we need a working Bee at dead low tide to clear them away which might help to discourage the stone fish from settling there... Also heads up the best treatment is to put your foot in as hot as water as you can stand, that kills the protein in the venom. I reckon Wilson restaurant would help with the hot water while you waiting for the ambulance..
This is not anything new for Manly I myself stepped on a stone fish late last year at Manly 30m from the steps not a lot of fun bootys mite help a little but will not stop there spike from entering your feet .We do need to clean up at the bottom of the steps move some of the rock that seem to turn up there.
