Thanks for posting Kimba!

Falcon got great test reviews online. Top looking board.

I quite like the Voltmeter's unbranded white one he's sailing. Great for the hot conditions we get up here as I have heard the decks of the smaller (darker) sizes suck in a lot of heat.

Hi all owners of Falcons,

I have just purchased a 2012 Falcon 113, which I am told is actually 107 litres. Got RS Slalom 7.8, Hellcat 6.7 and Hellcat 5.7 to run on the board.

To other owners of the 113, I am wondering how she performs with small sails like a 5.7 considering the recommendation for the board is down to a 6m. Have I gone too small? I am 86kg.

cheers AJE

I own a 2006/7 Falcon 111 litre,the one that has the spin-out problem.

I tried using a 5.6m on it,did not plane much earlier than from putting a 5.6m on a smaller board. You may have control issues in gusts, with too much lift from using a small sail on a wide board,so put mast-track at front when using this sail size.

6.7m should be ideal size. I don't subscribe to this belief that 7.8m on a 69cm wide board is compatible. I find with this large sail size, the board feels crap! It sits too low in water and push sideways from large 7.8m sail makes getting upwind difficult. A 7.8m will feel much lighter when used with a wider 75-85cm board.
