Am looking for a 100ltr ish board for 5 to 7mtr for blasting but forgiving in harsher conditions and am quite interested in the Goya volar 105 or RRD firemove 100 v4 any one with experience of theas be good.
Firemove is a wide freestyle wave. Tail rocker and high nosekick.
Unfamiliar with Volar, check tail rocker.
Blasting in deep, choppy water for sure.
Seems FM has very similar rocker to Freestyle waves, but of course it's wider.
Flat water favors flatter rockers.
The fire move is a flat water board, it just has a little more tail kick and a more curved outline to make it gybe smoother.
See some of Jem Halls videos, he uses them all the time. You can put in a big fin and then when the wind gets up place a smaller more swept fin into them and use in choppier water too, they are not a wave board but in smaller sizes are slightly wavier in shape.
The Goya is a really nice board too, probably better suited to blasting then the Fire move, check out your local conditions when the wind is up and see if theres a lot of chop on the water surface.
Both are great boards...............

I'm not sure how much kick the Fm has a few years back I had a atom 100 and that had no kick from what I can remember and was quick board on flat and chop.
The GV is interesting spec shows quite long by today's trend.
Atom is pure freeride.
Firemove has much more tail KICK, and more rocker up to the front straps.
2 different boards.
haven't personally ridden them, but both have a reputation for being relaxed and easy to control freeride boards, however the RRD probably has less topend because as has been said: it's geared towards gybing with the pulled in outline in the tail and the rocker.
I'd personally get the Volar. Widebody Freemovers feel a bit weird to me anyways and the Volar is just a classic plug'n'play easy freeride board with great control and great for blasting
