Hello to all,

I'm trying to find some reviews about Hot Sails Maui sails.
Actually i haven't seen any recent feedback about these sails on web and i would appreciate if anyone can share with me.
Are considered as good value sails? Their performance is quite good? What about durability?
I am thinking to switch from Neilpryde sails => From Neilpryde Combat to Hot Sails Maui Qu4d - 4 Batten.
What do you think?

Thanks a lot,

I have not sailed the Newer NP Combat so I can only speak to the performance & durability of the Hotsails. In my opinion the Hotsails are extremely well built & yet very lightweight. They are not cheap though. As for performance I am on the KS3 & I won't ever sail anything else. They have so much power & range it is shocking. You should try to get a ride on one...

new windsurf sails in general are NOT cheap ...

i have a prototype HSM SpeedFreak 8.5 which is made with the newer dacron
this makes it very light and durable in terms of sunlight
if punctured, it does not run and can be repaired with special tape
i have a few 8.x sails, but this one is the most used ...
in this range
and i sail a lot in light winds - weekend warrior

however, cannot compare your NP with the Qu4d sail
i do however use NP mast in my HSM SPF
same masts ...

HSM, all products are good, well made, the thought on rigging is done by a windsurfer,m its apparent , so easy, straight forward , no uncessary bits of Velcro . Since you mention the QU4D , I had 2 of original years, 5.2 n 5.6m both were easy to sail, did well overpowered, which 4 battens aren't known for, they are light, as in amoung the lightest. From a durability standpoint they are good. I have a 5.0 QU4D , 2017, its even better. I also have they KSSpider 4.3, it feels similar. I have not tried the KS3. Both KS3 and KSSpiders are very light, near the tops.

All the QU4Ds I had felt like quoted sizes. The 5.2 in particular saw a lot of use. Wonderful sail.

Compared to NP, these are long life. The masts you use on NP will be near perfect for HSM sails .

Of all the sails from them Ive had the QU4D is a favorite. Very well made, range is great.

I have had the Combat and. Atlas to compare of recent .

I now just have the 4.5 and 5 quad + 370 mast. Simple, strong and IMO feel is as good as any wave sail.

Through in a smaller sail if it's looking super strong.

Good choise
