I was busy watching buzzys wave 360s and huge goiter and his usual aerial off the lip commitment
This and Applemans selection of the best bank to sail helped take the mind off being so power up and I enjoyed a couple quality Goat rides

Feel like I've been run over by a truck today, that was a heavy duty Goats session. Damo I think your sore neck problem is contagious, I've got it today.

You're not the only ones Kazza & Damo. I feel like I've been in a bar fight an got a severe hiding.
After getting pummelled and going over the handlebars smashing my head into the mast; attempting a way too windy bottom turn, I decided it was safer to take pictures.
it was an impressive show by the Goat though.

Great photos.

I was thoroughly rinsed several times and am still finding sand in body orifices!

Enjoyed it!

Buzzy ,,,, yep I use a helmet (on my head), have done for many years and still wonder why people sail without one.

My first sail with a helmet paid for itself as I made contact with a reef!

Tried one...throws my balance off. Besides that I like the wind in what little hair I have left.....Thankfully there are no " Nannas" at the beach to make us wear one. Unlike everywhere else where our wellbeing is so thoughtfully controlled.
Risk is accepted and part of the excitement! A smack on the head is a reminder of ones ability or lack there of! Be more cautious next time.

Yeah I wear a helmet cos it makes me feel secure like sucking a dummy not sure whether it actually ever saved my life ........ Just like sucking dummies.

Better than spitting, big baby

I wear one to keep the sun off and the water out, also for the smack against the gear

The newer style Gath surf convertibles are the way to go.
No bala
nce problems as remove the earpieces completely.
It's the only way forward

I was against helmets for ages. Then I got a gath with a visor for sun protection and for piece of mind sailing in the swell. After a few goes I can't imagine sailing without it now. Also helps hold the sunnies in place. It's got a number of scratches in place from some heavy impacts as well. IMO Worth its weight in cash.
