I'm saying good-bye to my first wave board which I purchased new from Vitamin Sea (who remembers that shop?) in Mills St. Middle Park in 1985. It's a custom fibreglass 8'6" dual flyer tri-fin design - built by Oke boards for Vitamin Sea.

Back then it did plenty of wave sailing, including a couple of tours of WA. I've had it tucked away in the garage for years but now I'm moving house and it's time for it to go to the street collection. I thought I should put these pics up as a record of how nice some of the board shapes were back then.

Cheers

Ian

Send a PM to Bondalucci, he might be interested in it for his windsurfing wall.. He's probably already under your house right now pulling it out ;-)

Thanks guys. It's been saved from the street collection and is now part of Bondy's windsurfing wall.

Cheers

Don't remember the shop names but dad purchased our first boards from a shop in Bay Street north Brighton I think that was vitamin sea
Another shop opposite the Brighton baths. What was it called
Victorian sailboard centre in nepean highway elsternicck. a huge shop. They sold 20 one designs a day on the weekends. I wonder where all those boards are now.
Another shop just past Southland down a side street What name?
trigger brother they made great custom boards. We need to go back to custom boards and local shapers. But we would all be stepping back 20 years but what great paint jobs
wayne richy waterski world in ringwood

what other shops. I wish I had photos Of the old gear Maybe mum and dad have an album

i hope the shops don't close because I love looking at gear And chit chat. Support all the shops.
