I hope it isn't true but the news websites are reporting a boat hitting a windsurfer today. Suggestions it may be Windtech Neil. I really hope this is a false report.

He has commented to me recently that the boats are getting out of hand, then this happens.

Piecing together the bits of information that have come in
Neil Scheltema was hit by a boat this afternoon and has broken either his patella or femur or both and is in hospital to have surgery tonight.
His sail and broken board (without Neil) were found by another boatie and reported it to the water police.
Water police brought the gear to Pelican Point and JJ and Neil's son have recovered it and driven his vehicle home.
Neil's relatives are with him at the hospital.
Neil was the one who reported Petermac's similar incident to us only a couple of months ago, and was encouraging us all to be very vigilant around boats. It is hard to believe this has happened to him.

Neil, we wish you a full and speedy recovery.

Be very vigilant around boating channels everyone!
