Kids Windsurfing is back again this summer both in Perth and with the SW Junior Windsurfing School.

In Perth we are aiming to kick off on Saturday the 4th of November at Applecross.

Given the spread of ability and numbers last year, the plan is to split into 2 sessions and target conditions at skill level as follows.

windsurfingwa.org.au/public/schedule/events/21219-metro-kids-windsurfing-session-1

Session 1 - Micro & Mini Rippers - 10:30
Micro and Mini Rippers are for the kids starting out windsurfing who don't need a sea breeze to have a great time on the water. The focus of the sessions will be learning the basics and having fun.

Session 2 - Rippers - 12:00
Rippers have mastered the basics and want to get into foot straps, harness and water starting. Sessions will focus on these skills and fun. Mini races last year proved a hit and will be on the cards again this year. Later in the season, we might even head to the ocean for a session or two.

Lunch and Drinks
We will feed the hungry masses again this year in return for a gold coin donation and a hand turning sausages.

Membership
Come down and try it out
We offer the first session free and without the need to become a member. So come down to Melville and give windsurfing a go. We will have a kids rig to borrow along with a couple of PFDs.

Now I'm hooked
Once hooked and to continue sailing in the Metro Sailing Program, ALL kids need to be a member of Windsurfing Western Australia. A Kids Membership is $35 or if there is more than one sailor in the family we have a Family Membership (parents $85, kids $30).

Once a membership has been paid (1 adult & 1 child) can you then add more kids? I have 2 that may want to join us but they are being vague.
Cheers Dave

If you talk to the right person we can sort something out i.e. I have no idea if the website could handle this so would need to hack in the background . Drop an email to info@windsurfingwa.org.au or we can sort it out on the beach one morning.
