The King of Carnac is on again this year on Saturday 11 November at Jervoise Bay Sailing Club.

The race is a multi class long distance course racing event and it's open to Kites, Windsurfers, and Off the Beach Catamarans.

Other Off the Beach Sailing classes may be included by application. Participants shall apply to compete at the Event by completing the online application form and a Participant Disclaimer.
Entries will only be accepted from a current financial member of; an affiliated yacht/sailing club and hold a current Yachting Australia Silver Card, OR, PKR affiliated club of WAKSA in good standing with the KA WWA the State Windsurfing Association Proof of such registration may be requested on the day of the race and at the Organiser's discretion. International participants are actively encouraged to enter and may enter with a valid membership of their national kite or sailing association as recognised by YA.

All safety gear for Windsurfers and Kiteboarders required as per Department of Transport rules for 2-5 nautical miles and as defined by the Organiser (

Kite Class Equipment Limitation
Only Formula or Hydro-foil boards will be permitted.

Windsurf Class Equipment Limitation Only Formula/Windfoil/RSX/ Raceboard or similar that can easily manage a windward/leeward in light winds.

The entry fee of $65 is payable to the Organiser to secure participation in the Event. Additional Optional Extras: Participants may purchase at time of online entry; Limited Edition Polo Shirt (only available as pre-purchase) - ($30-$35)2.
Organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry and ballot out entries if any class is over-subscribed. If balloting is required, it will be done on the basis of competitor experience. Entries Open: 16th October 2017 Entries Close: 11pm 1st November 2017 Nomination Page: Results: Substitution of competitors only by approval of the Organisers, and will only be accepted up to the 8th Medical withdrawals must be advised prior to Registrations Check opening on the morning of the event. Partial refund may be available on supply of medical certificate within 7 days of the event. Events cost money to run regardless of wind. Participants are expected to complete registration and a Participant Disclaimer at this time. . Catamarans/Other off the beach sailing classes will also require proof of boat PL insurance and completed copy of the YWA Off the Beach Compliance Card.

COMPULSARY Race Briefing: 10:30am
Earliest possible start being 11.30am.
One, two or three separate races will be held on the day, each race being either one or two laps of the 16km course. The organiser reserves the right to run each race as a single lap, or hold only one or two races of one or two laps. A maximum of 3 laps will be completed during the event, which is roughly 48km. Sunday the club will host W-L racing including a leg of the Enzed WA F18 Cup and Junior mixed cat fleet racing. Sunday racing is not part of the KOC event, but competitors are welcome to stay on for this racing. 1. RACING AREA The intended course area will start/finish in the vicinity of Jervoise Bay Sailing Club; The outbound passage will be in the direction of Carnac Island with top mark being in the vicinity of Carnac Island. The course, dependant on conditions, may have an upwind/downwind/reaching component to it. The return passage back to the start/finish concluding a single lap.
