Just a quick one to let you all know, yes there will indeed be slalom on again this season at SBYC, as well as some other exciting events throughout the season.

The club is undergoing a few changes to better represent what it is becoming, a windsports hub. with a variety of windsports on offer, including windsurfing/ slalom events, teabagg. errr, i mean kiting, and sailing.

Keep an eye out for further info.
the club opening day will be on the 23rd of October, so write it into the calender, and stay tuned for more info soon.

Ok, things are shaping up for the clubs opening day on Sat the 23rd of October.

Its looking like an action packed day with lots of onshore activities on the beach as well as the slalom events for both windsurfing and kiting. Bring the family down. there'll be a coffee van, demos of the various wind sports on offer at the club, a sausage sizzle, and a sundowner at the club after racing.

registration for racing starts at 10:00am. Skippers meeting at 11:00am. First possible racing 12:00pm. As it's opening day, we will be alternating on the race course with the kites.

Also, a reminder that this season we are looking to have everyone racing to be a club member. This helps to keep the club that runs the racing for us alive. I can tell you that so far as club fees go, SBYC fees are an absolute bargain, and there are a few different options available to suit different needs.

looking forward to seeing you all there.
