  "From the location of these stations its seems likely that:
Melville Waters readings will be spt on for Crawley but too optimisic for Melville Beach during Southerly winds but is more accurate as the wind swings West.

Mandurah readings will be too pesimistic for Avalon and the Estuary during Southerly and Easterly winds (just when you need it) but is more accurate as the wind swings West and North. For Easterlies, Mandurah readings could easily be pesimistic by 10 knots or more."
