Drama in the Mono Class at Port Macquarie

The Formula One Powerboat Association was on show at Port Macquarie, on the NSW north coast, last weekend and crowd support proved outstanding, enough for association president Craig Truslove to state he was 'blown away' by the interest shown. It was close racing, despite various mechanical problems which plagued the field, but there was one moment of drama in the Mono Classes that could have resulted in tragedy. Greg Adams, driving the 'Bay Boat Sales' entry, a boat still in the developmental stage, was caught in dead water on no less than three occasions, causing the boat to 'stop dead'
