Mascalzone Latino Audi Team has had their first practice day in New Zealand before the beginning of the Louis Vuitton Auckland Trophy on Tuesday, March 9th.

On Sunday morning the 'rascals,' led by Skipper Gavin Brady trained with the Swedish of Artemis (skipper Paul Cayard) on board the pair Emirates Team New Zealand ACC boats. In the afternoon, training continued onboard the smaller MRX boats explicitly designed for match racing.

'Today has been very fruitful, even if we are still a bit jetlagged,' explained Flavio Favini, key afterguard member. 'We removed the rust by training in Valencia in February, and now we are oiling the mechanism of the team, almost completely renewed. Tomorrow we will continue our training in these same waters that saw the debut of Mascalzone Latino in the America's Cup.'
