'1904 built Camper and Nicholson Gaff Cutter - SY Merrymaid' Photo (C) Merrymaid

Incredible, stunning, gorgeous, beautiful, gracious and still plenty of grunt when the wind picked up!!! Thats the way photographer Andrea Francolini described the SY Merrymaid, a magnificient Gaff Cutter built by Camper and Nicholson in 1904. After undergoing and extensive refit from 2006 to 2008, SY Merrymaid set sail on a circumnavigation of the world in August 2009, sailing 14,766 nautical miles that year. In February 2010 she set sail from Havana, Cuba arriving in Sydney. Plans are to sail her to Singapore via Indonesia and Jarva, by the end of this year. Thanks to Andrea for these great pictures
