Geoff Breen hits Noosa - Stand Up Paddling Aerials

Aerials get the ladies it seems...
Longboards and Mals have been around for decades, but you'd never see one getting chop hopped, spun around and launched off lips. But you do on a SUP!

So what's the difference? Is it a case of modern technology making it possible or just the modern breed of paddlers pushing the envelope more than their grandfathers wanted to? Geoff Breen is one such rider and all it takes is a few seconds of this video to see what we're talking about. Riding at Noosa, on QLD's Sunshine Coast Geoff is absolutely throwing his JP around the wave with powerful turns, buckets of spray and lots of sneaky peeks at his fins. There's a real Keahi style of surfing in there with the slid out top turns and aerial work, but Geoff really puts his own style on the 360's. Even having the tenacity to pass the paddle around behind his back.

Check out the video below, but keep an eye out for Geoff next video because if this has anything to go on, it's going to be awesome.
