Any of you techno guru's out there know of a free word processing download. I do not want anything fancy and do not want to pay for it. I was using Compare Office which cost me $149 but it came on cd and the el cheapo laptop I bought does not have a disc drive.
Thanks in advance! |

Try "Open Office". Free from Sun. Requires Java Development Kit (JDK) to be loaded as well.

Wordpad -already installed with Windows (assuming you are running windows).
Basic but better than Notepad.
Start->Run & type "Wordpad"
hit enter |

Can't you just copy the disc onto a thumb drive on another compuda and plug that into your compuda? |

| USB DVd-rom drives are reasonably cheap if you wanted to use your existing disc and load it. |

Why not just type directly into Seabreeze forums and let the spelling and grammar Nazis do their thing ?
Free AND you don't have to do it yourself.
EDIT :
This post has been edited. The orignal version was :
Y not tipe in ere and let them ****wits jiggle it for U ? |

Why install one at all?
Google Docs is pretty good ... free!, just needs a browser offers 5Gb of free storage
SkyDrive on www.live.com offers 25Gb of free storage and access to MS Office apps online Word Excel etc.
