I have. But it was a little floating fishing pier. about 2m wide and 3foot high. But none the less it was still a pier.... or was it a jetti? I'm claiming the peir jump.

The rock spit bw beach 2 across to the flat side at Woodies was hero act back in the day when all kiters were gay old school exhibitionists. Didnt see it myself but I heard tell of one those gay old-schoolers who actually did a deadman across it. Possibly the VB man???? Anyone know. This was also the old-school time when we didnt have a camera in our faces every minute we spent on the water. Pity about that.

Pity the Council demolished the little Jetty, that would've been do-able.

Why would you try to jump a pier? Its like trying to stick your wang in a sleeping crocodiles mouth: you might make it out ok but if something goes wrong, your a dickless douche bag for the rest of your life! If you get it right, people will clap. If you get it wrong, people shake there heads and say "what an idiot" while you get to sit there in pain! No symathy for the stupid. The risks and dangers outweigh the Glory IMO.

Disagree, i think its awesome. but.... some idiot somewhere will copy, and most likely end up with the injuries mentioned above

HEHEHE.... the man with an avatar of himself jumping a motorcross bike over rocks and logs doen't understand a kiter jumping wood and concrete. Me thinks you are enjoying a double standard!. Personally i enjoy the challenge of jumping something. it adds a level of skill to an otherwise relatively riskless task. any old punter can boost. but timing the take off in the exact right place with the right speed to clear the object takes skill. i'm not going to jump a massive peir because thats outside my level of acceptable risk. but i enjoy jumping smaller ones and boulders even timing a boost over monster white wash is a worthy task.

^^^ Touché! I will consent to that point. I would say thought that although I have no desire to jump a pier, I would t stop someone else from doing it. Completely up to them if they want to take that risk. What I was getting at is the risk/reward ratio does not seem right for me to jump a pier. Hence, the thread asks "has anyone jumped a pier before" and to that I say no, I haven't. I don't see the point!
