| Has anyone read latest Ozone newsletter? Ozone might introduce a new kite to its line....and a C shape nonetheless. NOW, what do you say to that??? :) |

Hey Dapole,
Ozone are going to release a full on "C" kite this year, as well as a light wind specialty kite for all you eastern staters . I believe they will be on a 2 year cycle which is smart. No other details or release dates as yet.
Sick!
Good winds,

SICK??? Kitehard sick??? a serious understatement!! Not only Ozone changed their line for 09 but a C....a god darn C shape!!?? How many big brands are successfully continuing C line these days. Naish with Torchy. Anyone serious else?
I say FULLY SICK...FULLLLY SICK!!!! I am more than stoked with that news! That covers pretty much every target group there is for Ozone - good on you kids!! :) |

I hope its better than the new edge. Kitepower guys had one at altona today. looked very good initially and then went into inverterama mode. became M shaped and then flipped completely. Didnt see it back out again.
P.S I am a great believer in Ozone stuff so I am hoping this was just an air pressure thing.

Ooooo not a nice first impression :) and I am sure (being an Ozone kid by nature) it is mostly related to air pressure. Remember that 09 models are not following the flat 08 line anymore. This isn't evolution of 08 models it is a pure mutation - with all its good and bad sides.
I see more goods though hahhahah |

| good on you chronic :)) as a matter of fact and much as I love what kitesurfing has become with all the safety, bow, flat revolutions...an old school C shape is something that I sorely miss. Something along the lines of X4 with this unforgettable feeling of your arms being pulled out of joints when you railey loop it. |

Shame on those who used "C shape" as a derogatory term :)) heheh |

I might have been under influence of two Corona's and one cup of Sleepy Tea....but I still reckon Liquid ha never made to "the big brands" and that is what I was referring to :)
The only C's worth mentioning (ever) are: X4, Lift Pro, da Black Tip if anyone remembers it :), Torch (pretty much all of them although T1 was a truly sweet thing), Raven was a disaster so mentioned but not really, Rhino's (all until company has decided to broaden their target group by changing that amazing kite to a bowish and now deltish looking monstrosity), CO2 - aaaa not really spectacular success, Scoop (all except 2 generation which was a bit...spongey hehhe), Storm of course and.....
missed anything? |

Matrix, Hydro, Indy, OS. OS is still a current model and fully kick ass. Im still trying to work on something that is as versatile in all areas. |

Raven was like making an electric car out of Lamborghini Diablo - pointless.
Raven was supposed to be a revolution after X line. Didn't really kicked in that revolution. I even used to own one....27m lines....argghhhh...
Performance was nothing like its counterpart in North. Nothing like. I give it to you it was a decent kite to have but that is all.
One of the most hilarious things I have ever seen was 5 people trying to figure out where the leak was on 8m Raven bladder and once they did (not worth mentioning the time they have achieved this) - repair it....have you ever tried to pull the strut bladder in 8m Raven...I mean what in the name of X4 they were thinking of when they introduced that kite.
But each to its own so :) |

step sideways dazed...sideways :)
I had a go on Sport + 9m but to be honest I need more time in some serious wind over the weekend to post my opinion.
So far apart from the obvious fact that this kite is completely different I would say - smooth! Nice and smooth. More soon :)
I will most probably ditch some of my Sports + this year for a nice, lovely, fantastic, ecstatic, spanktacular Ozone C shape :)))
Back to the roots!!! Yeaaaaah!

Right, Fusion2!!....you know what they say Fusion2 + Aaron Hadlow = World Freestyle Domination
but then again this kid would ride superbly on a kmart t shirt with two strings attached and a block of wood for a board :)
kitecrazzy - no doubt Ozone will make a fine C shape. Rob is far more experienced than the previous designer David was and above all with Ozone reputation they will make sure all is tested and top notch before release ļ. I hope we will have some test models before the winter S winds starts here is NSW. |
