Hi guys,

I had an amazing holiday (4 days) in South Durras (20 minutes away from Batemans Bay). I must say is the best location for kiting. The beach is huge, most of the time nobody is there and you can chose between kiting in the surf or in the lake. The complex is called Lakesea and is not expensive.

I strongly recommend this location for kiting holiday.

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks Mike. Got a link? Did you camp or stay in a hotel?

Cool. Will add that to my list of places to go for a long weekend break.

Hi Mikedobee - - looks like a great spot on Gmaps

Hey did you kite the lake - looks like there's not much fetch?

Clear water on murky/muddy bottom?

Hi,

I did kite the lake as well as the surf.

The only problem in the surf is that the waves can get pretty big, but considering that I am a beginner and I did pretty well, the pro's shouldn't have any problems.

The lake is pretty nice too (provided the wind blows in the right direction).

It was pretty clear in the surf, but muddy in the lake.

Can 't wait to get back there.

Cheers,
Mike
