Just wantin info on bagnalls. Is it a shallow spot and is it good for beginners??

I'm a beginner and find the place really good. As Warren stated, there isn't much set up space. Just have to watch out for people and dogs. I tend to walk out abit further and get assisted launch

Try to get there in a high tide because as Warren said there is a lot of weed up the beach and you have to have a 50-100m treck out to the water. Could be seen as a major shipping lane so watch out for all of those other craft out there. If you're a beginner don't take any chances thinking that they can see you stay well away from them.

Do you mean at Fingal Bay?

Just ignore all of the stuff about the seaweed and shipping lane then. Fingal Bay is good you often see kiters out there on a good NE/SE. Fingal is not as good for beginners as Bagnelles is I believe because of the swell that you can get. If you are not as competent yet going through the breakers can sometimes be difficult especially if your kite goes down and you get waves crashing over the top of it. Best advice I can give I'm not that into waves yet more of a freestlyer is to bend your knees as you go over the wave lean back or better still jump over them.
