Rider: 90kg ,intermediate Style: Surf Weather: 20-28kts Build Quality: 10/10 Satisfaction: 7/10 Disclosure: None My Comments: Construction, typical Well built, solid but light construction. Has the bambootec top again from the last two years. Specs, Thruster only similar shape to my WAM 6'0" rails are lower and average rocker around the same as the WAM. A bit thicker and wider board but the tail has been thinned out. Ride, Took it out last week in overhead surf at Brighton with a lot of chop out the back, found the board to be quite responsive even though it only had small fins in. on the wave was where it really excelled, as the wave cleaned up on the inside the board had good hold and performed exactly as you wanted it to. Fast, smooth and predictable. In the chop out the back I found it to be a fast board but a little too bouncy for my liking. Conclusion, If I had good waves or riding cross off on a regular basis, also if I had the ability to buy multiple boards for conditions, I would definitely consider this one as an option. Maybe if I was a better surfer also . Riding mainly Perth metro winter fronts on my surfy for me the WAM is a better option as it still performs pretty well but the overall ride is more forgiving.
