Bugger! Two weeks ago I went for a hero jump at sandy bay. I've been nursing sore ribs for two weeks and had my first proper kite today. It's true, water is like concrete once your kite starts looping!

P.s. that was despite wearing an impact vest.

As for the guy getting blown onto the beach... Onshore conditions are always scary. I once saw someone go straight up into a tree in qld, brand new kite and all. I stuck with windsurfing for a few years more...

Marion bay was fun today. Cross-onshore is ok right?

yeah, dead onshore isn't ideal that's for sure. But we all take what we can get down in Tas.

Just gotta judge the condition's and only kite slightly out of your comfort zone :))

glad your ribs are all mended.
