Finally kited nut grove today with Alex from Sydney. It was surprisingly nice, I used the 9m even!

Unfortunately Voitek I'll be stuck in the office monday/tuesday.
Was good catching up with you guys at Carlton on saturday. Putting names to faces and getting a bit more involved. Sorry I didn't stick around til you got out of the water but it was bloody freezing sitting in the wind on the sand - two jackets or not.
Hopefully I'll be out there soon with you guys, just give me enough space to crash and burn... if I am going down I wouldn't want to take any of you with me. ;)

I also had a good session on the Derwent, at Bellerive. Unfortunately it ended in a messy way with a broken IDS landing line. Very luckily, no additional damage, and only relatively distant witnesses.
I will be checking the condition of the full length of my lines much more carefully from now on. And making the effort to drive to the more unpopulated spots whenever possible (but the river did seem the place to be today.....).
If Marion looks a sure bet tomorrow for my smaller kite, I might try and get there later in the day.
