finally got my poor 12m kite back from double blowout of LE + strut!

with this high sitting over us am thinking of taking tomorrow off work and heading out to Marion...

yeah it got pretty windy, about 15 to 20kts at 1pm then up to 30kts later in the avo. was great sunny windy weather since today was total washout in Hobart. good to see about 6 others turn up later in the avo too...

i got out for about a half hour, but then had to leave a bit early since my kite fresh from repair, decided to reward my patience with a slow leak from a valve on the strut, what a pain :( a little split in the valve didn't leak when you pumped up but only when kite was slightly moved it would then open up and hiss out air, pretty hard to spot ahead of time

i then found that landing a half deflated kite is pretty tricky cause instead of rolling over, it just folds in half, then springs back up into the air! was thinking of touching down in the dunes but finally got it over into the water and it got washed around long enough to stay put
