To whoever (10m blue kite with orange struts) retrieved my board and brought it downwind and saved me ~10hrs of body dragging...thanks! I stuffed up the "last jump" of the session and crashed and tumbled the kite and spend ages to relaunch and was close to the life saving club until I had the situation under control. Learning for today: Don't go out in Brighton if the wind is dead northerly, it might end badly...but what an awesome session!

do you reckon Brighton would be ok in NNW like it may be tomorrow or is only Rosebud closest option?

you can also try Seaford! Pretty good on NNW...and for Seaford relatively flat. Don't park at the Carrum Bowling Club as you have to pay now, just drive a few 100m further and park next to the bottle shop on the nepean hwy. On another note, check if there was not to much rainfall and the water from Patterson River is pushed down to far but Seaford is normally OK. cs

Yes pretty much the same. In Seaford are probably less people on the beach. Parking fee as well. Just let you Mrs park the car 100m in the side street. There is also some coffee shops to keep her warm. Still prefer Seaford because of the lesser people, Sand is softer and I have only 5 min to walk from home to get there! Had a look at google maps. As the bay is bowing in this section Seaford seems the better place to go. It will be more onshore if ther is some W in it. cs

I love keast park, so flat in a northerly! plenty of room, When its low tide it gets nice and fun around the shallows! But like brighton if your stuck out far off shore, dont expect to be getting your board back!

Don't mind to help and have a beer but don't have a liquer licence!!! Watch the sharks in WA dusta! Sad time for you guys over there!
