Everyone,

Unfortunately, due to a number of reasons, we have had to postpone the Vic State Titles which was planned for this weekend.

The event is v much on and we have a great package planned but events have conspired against us this weekend.

Revised dates for the comp in January are nearly finalised. We'll post an update on our website and here ASAP.

Yours,
KBV

It may be worth just giving Ewan the title and then holding an event that the rest of us can partake in.

You missed it. It was held at Port Melbourne beach last weekend. It was handled as an invitational. It was a massive field of riders, two of us in total. The other rider was just learning to stay upwind so needless to say I won the title after executing a simple backroll and awarded myself the trophy. The trophy was a victoria beer can with my name scribbled on the side using a rusted nail.

Seriously though, i know there is a comp on tomorrow with Kite Republic but its not the titles.

Guys - the State Titles dates are still in flux. This is due to two reasons: 1) we need a number of volunteers to help us plan and organise the event as a number of our committee members are not available in the coming months, and 2) the event day itself is moving around as we try to agree a date to use St. Kilda Beach.

We hope to have the dates confirmed as soon as possible. If you are interested in helping us plan and run this event, please reach out to us at [email protected].

More broadly - we are looking for members to join the committee. If you are keen to get involved more with the local kiting community and help us with matters such as beach access, insurance, safety, events/social; please reach out to us - we'd love to hear from you.

Thanks,
KBV
