This weekend looks like an easterly coming through. I've been doing some research on the best spot to make use however it seems to be to be limited to altona and potentially inverloch. Any advice on the best location for a beginner?

On another note I'm interested why Phillip island doesn't get much mention on these forums (from what I can see).

Thanks for any advice.

Where do ya live man? Balnarring is pretty sick on an easterly! Nice long beach plenty of room to span out. It's got a decent shallow bit as well if the tides right. What we expecting this weekend?

Balnarring is suitable in an easterly for beginners, particularly if there is some south in it. It does get choppy but plenty of sand and the water is clean. Avoid Altona on a low tide in an easterly if you need space. Phillip Island is not recomended for beginners except on a northerly at Silverleaves- in which case you may as well go to Rosebud.
