You can give Ivan a call at the Zu he has a friend running a 'Snow Cat' operation out on to the BC from Falls, he may be able to hook you up.

I would also be keen for info on good uncrowded treeless areas in victoria. I was up at Falls Creek and Hotham for opening weekend, and was also hoping to get out for a kite on the snow but it was perfect windless days for lift accessed skiing instead. If anyone is heading anywhere during a Friday/Saturday/Sunday with the intention of going for a kite on the snow let me know so I can split fuel/access costs and come along!

Ye no wind whatsoever over weekend, besides I had a look over the top of the Summit where kiters normally head and there wasnt enough cover yet anyway so I think will have to wait till later on when we will hopefully have a lot more snow!

Is anybody is planning on coming up to falls this week? It's starting snowing, with 106cm forecast over next 6 days. Could be epic snowkiting after front passes. Anyway I'm working up here for the season, so happy to provide reports etc, and hopefully meet up for some riding. Ps, I forgot my harness if somebody would like to provide courier, cheers.

that's awesome! I want to give it a go this season. What size kite have you been using up there? Also how hard is it to get to a good spot from the village?

use your kite board without fins, open the straps wide enough to get some thick boots in there...

Howdy all, I met two other kiters at the top of Ruined Castle, Falls Creek on Monday. It was blowing about 10 to 15 knots, super sunny and the snow was pretty nice. I was on my 12m Switchblade. There is so much potential for kiting up there! ample amounts of room and any wind direction is possible. I also used skis instead of board. Wicked!!!! Can't wait to do it again. Unfortunately there has been some crazy lows coming through and it's rained from Tuesday to today. arghhh. Hayden
