Thinking about a trip to Shark Bay, can anyone tell me if its a good place for kiting? Prefer kiting flat water or easy breaks. Tips & tricks? Best spots? Best time to go?

If you're after FLAT water, there aren't too many better spots around WA (ok, there are others, but SB/Denham is pretty damn fine IMO). Kiting (launch/landing) in Denham itself should be conducted from the southern end of Knight Terrace. There are usually a number of small craft & one or two fishing boats moored immediately downwind, but they are not overly problematic if you are a competent kiter. There are heaps of locations to kite at, including Big & Little Lagoon (4wd needed to get to Big Lagoon), have done a sensational DW from Eagle Bluff to Denham a few yrs back - approx 28k's or so. Windy season is any time from Oct/Nov through to Jan/Feb. 10m or 12m for mornings, 6m or 8m for afternoons. PM me for more info re accommodation etc.
