I cut up a sheet of core flute and slid a piece down each side of my Pod,hoping for more streamlining /speed. Blasting around on Lake Lefroy on the weekend I found that I could go through water about 10/15 mm deep at about 50kph and stay totally dry Water going everywhere,none on me. My bum got cold, thought the pod was leaking,it was just the water spraying up cooling the seat. Sailing by the seat of your pants i guess. Still don't know about the speed, more research is needed.
