+1 Upon going to the site and clicking on the photo on the right one will see two fellows wearing "Adelaide Landyacht Club" T shirts. Holding out an "Olive Branch"?????

I haven't recieved any emails like this. If you have no interest in it I think Nikrum's approach is a good option. PM me if you feel the need to take things further or lodge a complaint. Up to you guys There's a website?

Here are a few things that Ive come across with a few minutes on the web and just a few mouse clicks... (and a quiet day at work) Yes there is a website for the ALYF but why is it registered with an anonymous web hosting site.... in CANADA !!!!!! Nice one, are ALYF trying to hide it's identity already good start, how about using an Australian web host site considering there are many on offer. Don't forget this is a line from the ALYF site...And as mentioned the ALYF was to be transparent. use "spell check" Is the ALYF a "commercial business" or a "not for profit organisation" If there is yachts being imported for sale then it would be a business... right? or this.... So what is it... it can't be both And if ALYF is a business and were to run the national sport, just like world series cricket and Kerry Packer in 1977 that would make the land sailors of Australia employees of that company... WOW a paycheck for land sailing Splitpin you say you don't recognise ALSA, well many others, including the WORLD Governing Body F.I.S.L.Y do....

if ALYF is importing a container of standarts , perhaps you could enquire with david Webster. I recall him being the seagull distributer. havent heard from him in a long while, but he may be active is some capacity

So what I make out is the Rats are loose again. " splitpin " is a front for the seemingly new set up body and to me is possibly closly related to the "wheelnut' importer, none appear very genuine..........am I being too harsh ?

Don't add fuel to the fire guys. Things will sort them selves out in the end. This is exactly the response they where hopping for. Remember this site is for the benefit of land yachting and to help people get started in sailing/building yachts and as far as I can see has been extremely successful in doing so, with people from all over the world joining the site. So lets focus on the positives and not the negatives that can ruin a good day Cheers Vic

Totally agree with Vic. Joe, I can't give any info that admins only can get to, but I can say you're definitely wrong.

Guys, I guess I am fighting a Lost Cause as my intent in the Harsh Posts in matters of this nature is to try to Winkle Out some Names from the perpetrators, with no apparent luck. The results in themselves tend to show the genuineness of the originators. So let us ignore them now, end this Thread and Hope they Dry Up and Blow Away. Ron

If he's built his own rigs, he has used sewing, fiberglassing, and furniture building skills for seats and sails already! If he adds glassblowing, he can make his own goggles....

Have a homebuilt kayak type thing going at the moment. Using all my fibreglass and spare time on it, although its good practice for the important projects You know like how book cases appear to be good warm up to a sarcophagus I think the thread can stay open for the moment, seems like everyones having a good talk. So long as Joe doesn't mind...

A good discussion is a healthy thing, but I really like to know who it part of the conversation. Having no details gets everyone's goat up. I would hope we are all mature enough to realize this, other wise people will continue to think there is an alternative motive to there posts Cheers aus230

Right on Vic. Having anonimity for privacy reasons is one thing but when people use it to stir the pot I think it is quite off. Many of us have been contributing to this forum for about 4 years now and have gotten to know each other fairly well and are quite comfortable with each other given the differences in character. Friends from around the globe come here for lighthearted, friendly and often serious technical discussion. Those that want to push their private agendas and power trips should go elswhere.

Here, here Cisco and Vic, I suggested letting this thread Dry Up and Blow Away as our Purp's have gotten there way.. When I was younger and a member of the Armed Forces we had a couple of blokes in the Barracks Room next door who would argue about anything at all up too and including the sex of two fly's on the wall. Their arguments in the early stages became a Damned Pain but after awhile we would go start another one Just For the Hell of it.. it was a Good S**t Stir. These guys have been given their way AGAIN Ron
