I have a 520 75% carbon mast. I need to cut about 2' off it. I imagine it will be a little bendier if I cut off the bottom.Cut off the top= stiffer Do I want the mast bendier or stiffer. Looking at the potty or Blokart picture seems to be very bendy.

Holy Dooly John, I don't believe it. As a special offer to save 5 seconds of your time with a hacksaw and lots of heartache later, I'll willingly swap one of my short masts for your 5.2!! Take a pick of a stiff one or bendy.

How is that new wing progressing?...w

I don't ever get the luxury of having to trim them.
Mine all seem to be about the 4650mm length.

I'm always trying to stiffen them up and extend them.
My vote would be, top for sure.

The wing is on hold until I get another wing done for another guy. I'm kind of leaning toward the mini completion first. So far it's been a fun build.

what is the IMCS number of the mast. 15 is bendy ,27 is a stiffy,by trimming the top you would increase you number. my mini masts are around 27-30.for a 4.6m mast , the exception would be my little 3.2m mast for my 2.4-1.8m range of sails
( youll be needing some of those)
