Morning,
My mother is a keen sailor and arriving from the UK in a couple of weeks she is looking to get a couple of day/nights sailing in. Could anyone reccomend any companies or private individuals that may have a berth for rent for a few nights? She has her competent crew and day skipper qualifications.
Midweek would be preferable

Many thanks
Alex

If she after racing, cruising or just staying on a yacht on a mooring??

For a serious race on a weekend on the ocean contact Fremantle Sailing Club. As for midweeks try East Fremantle YC, South of Perth YC or Royal Perth YC. They all have afternoon and twilight racing and it varies in how serious the crews take it!!

Highly recommend a Wednesday evening twilight on board the S97 (9.7m racer cruiser) Mr. Walker at East Fremantle. The skipper is as nice a guy as you're likely to meet and it's a pretty cruisey race and a great way to see the river. He and a few of the crew are also poms!!!

If she is keen PM me and I can pass on the skippers number.

As for charter boats, well the coast is pretty rough so not much available as takes a decent skipper to even get to Rottnest Island.

We sail out of Freshie most Thursday arvos in the mid week JAM race - Not too serious, a few drinks on the way. All done in 3 hours, followed by good comeraderie in the bar. We are often looking for midweek crew..??

Looks like this:

(skip the power boat bit)

Drop me a PM if you think she might like to join us for the afternoon.
