Anyone riding either of these? Just recently started looking at these & THE 9'8" Raimana World & think they all look pretty nice. Thin, nice rails, concave deck. Not alot written about them though.
Mate, I don't hear much about C4 on here. DylanH works at Newcastle Sup - google the shop and his mobile should be on contact. I haven't seen him on breeze for a few days. He knows all about C4.
I had the 9'6 for about 6 months and loved it until I outgrew it. It's a great all-conditions surfing board, a little bit heavy but bullet-proof. The Raimana is less stable and needs bigger, heavier and cleaner conditions imo.
I'm currently riding a 2012 Starby 9'8" Pro & a 9'6" PSH Hull Ripper. The Starby I find to be fairly unstable in any kind of chop or wind. Its 4.8" thick which makes my C.O.G quite high. Got the Hull Ripper last week & it is awesome!! Both boards are fantastic in the surf but I'm leaning towards selling the Pro & finding something for all conditions with more stability. Was thinking the C4 boards look like they may fit in that category.
Not sure why you'd want 2 boards both quite similar imo? Is it just for backup for when the PSH's in the repair shop? I reckon it's good to have a challenging board (perhaps like your Starby) to push yourself and to grow into. Or a fish for mushy smaller days when you want more speed.
Thats why I'm asking about them. Want to know how they surf. I can't imagine that they'd be similar to the Hull Ripper. I like the fact that they are narrow but still quite stable which I think would be good in small & or bumpy conditions. The Hull Ripper is good for clean days & needs to be surfed from the tail. The Sub Vectors look as though they could be more of an allrounder. The Starby is rippable from the tail yet it also nose rides well. So I'm hoping that the C4 boards surf more like the Starby but with that added stability.
