Seen on Facebook feed. Maybe a new race board from naish by the looks of it??? Very different nose to their past offerings.
There is another photo on the Naish International facebook page where you can actually make out the model on the back of Manca Notar's board and it is the Javelin 12'6" LE X26 that she is riding.
Personally I think they look really good, big change in colour though could upset some people
I wonder how well all that black would hold up in the Australian heat (especially here in WA) if this is a future production model.
These are the already new 2015 race series where people are training on. Javelin LE. About 10% faster as the 2014, said.
Beau O'Brians' Facebook feed has him sitting next to Kai Lenny which gives you a very good look at the bow of the board...
After watching a bunch of the Abu Dhabi All Stars, the nose is more of a cross between the Sprint and the All Star. Looks fast and Kai won the Sprint on one. Interesting that some Naish team riders still opted for LEs. More interesting that the Turtle Bay was preferred over the Sprint by the Starboard team, with Conner getting first and Zane third in the distance race on Turtle Bays (Kai of course, split the difference). The problem with the Sprints, they do not kick turn well. Your Angie Jackson won the sprint for the Aussies and team Fanatic. Piercing noses dominated and I'm betting the Fanatic Flatwater nose gets a trim sometime soon. Lena won the distance and placed second in the sprint on her SIC X-12 Pro?, another fast looking board.
On a side note; there needs to be a penalty turn for leaders who fall and cause the pack to fall or veer off course. Conner for example (and not the only one), falls leading into the turn forcing two riders to veer off course, spins, hops up and paddles away as fast as a kick turn. I could almost swear he did it on purpose.http://watermanleague.com/events/2014-abu-dhabi-all-stars-grand-slam
The nose looks so similar.
Just classical piercing noses,
the Naish is shaped very aesthetic, his volume distribution looks like the 2014 JP Australia FW Raceboard.
Difficult to say, because the strong contrast of the black and yelling yellow.
Greets Naish Javelin the Fanatic FW ???

Rumors..........
new sizes and constructions.... x26, x28 LE. GX and GS constructions upt to x30. No x24. so looks like theyre more of a planning hull if you can get it up to speed
Is this another new one or an old picture re-published

Yummy. I can almost feel my bank account emptying already... X28 boards are gonna appeal to a lot of ocean paddlers.
Lahui kai have been running this nose for years yet when naish does it everyone wets their pants.
The fact is DVS had the idea long before hand- . Yes it came from the racing sailing boats
DVS was even an influence on earlier DC boards when dirk was getting this board glassing done at the DC factory.
Mind you I don,t rate the shape for DW ing

I'm intrigued by the last line - do you mind elaborating? We are seeing the boof noses and piercing noses on downwind boards and it seems they both do the job, albeit in a different way.

This picture shows obviously that the displacement kayak nose entry is disappeared.
If we look closer at the Naish from the side view, looks he has a little higher shaped "look a like" nose without any displacement function.
So to see the Fanatic FW is a trend setter, I am very curious in which direction the future shape trend goes in flatwater and in the chop, full displacement hull vs. half displacement hull vs. flat-bottom( half-glider) hull.?
What is your prediction guys??

it is of my opinion fuller nose boards dw much better. i don't want the nose going under . going under means less control, you can't steer a board when the nose is under.
a dw board is never going to go through a bump like a ski or oc1. they are just too wide.
i want my board floating over the top of the bump. its the only way. i've been on lots and lots of downward nosed boards or reverse or whatever. they just don't go as good as a fuller planning nose.
this board still brings a smile to my face everytime. it still amazes. very good fw speed too
don't know about sa,boof noses are the winningest dw in aus.
i think reverse are better in flats, headwind and bop.
reverse nose has it all over boof nose paddling through waves imo

Must've hurt you to post that!
hahaha... I know what you mean, but not really. I have friends in both teams and while I do paddle regularly over to SNG for evening beers (and it was nice to see the cup on the way to the toilet) and often paddle in front of EB's pad where his D35 Alinghy is moored I also worked in SF.
I was also making a small allusion to the Jimmy Spithill relationship with Naish.
