62 y/old -done another rotator cuff again, surfed on many different craft for 50 years - mal , then " morning of the earth type boards" wave ski and last 10 years - a retro fish 7'3" - brilliant BUT can't paddle properly now. Saw a SUP rider and the paddle stroke looked ( and is ) user friendly for me - DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE UP SURFING YAHOO!!!! Also my lady is interested and we have been loaned boards to paddle - great on the lake and even tempted her out in the ocean on a calm day - we intend to surf together - no more "surf widow" stuff - she will be out there

Good on ya. Keep up the stock anyway you can i say

I'm also only very new to it but they say if you're doing it right your arms shouldn't really hurt, it should be all in your core and stomach area

Not really that sure but have fun.

SUP paddling helped strengthen my rotator cuffs. Especially R one of them that underwent surgery a few years back. My shoulders are in the best condition they have been for years. (and I catch a few waves as well!)
