Knowing your practical joker side I was always a bit suss about this post. But then I thought what if he really broke his leg? You had me there for a minute.

One of the three legs broke right off at the foot.. Buggar! Cold temps + plastic = snap... I guess I was pushing the limits.. Bummer that it happened in the first few minutes of the run.. I paddled over and stuck it in the bushes just before Pt Ormond and then paddled on with Jonathan just as the wind kicked in at about 30 knots.. Jonathan was flying in his new Starboard 'dug-out'.. I'd rather be dressed like a kiter.. than like a male ballerina.. I've worn boardies over wetties windsurfing before kitesurfing was even invented.. It first it was just boardies over springsuits and I'd be thinking.. 'What cold weather.. I'm in boardies' .. and made me feel like it was still summer. DJ

I liked the ending when the camera went under the water.

Hey DJ - great looking rig, and great angle -- good stuff. I've been laid up for a bit, and while I was, I got an iPhone game called "Bridge Construction Kit" .. fun game that teaches (indirectly) about tensive and compressive forces, and this kind of break happens all the time when you're trying to build a bridge out of wood! lol. A counterweight might help reduce some of the load on the 3rd leg?

Hmmm... note to self... never cross a bridge that DJ built. Especially one made out of PVC.
