Hey Crew, I've just got back from a 10 day stint in Plengkung and the magnificent G-land reef. The question that is always tossed up......."Should I take my SUP to G-land"? The answer is Yes and No! My personal opinion is, Do not SUP G-Lands main break, you will only piss people off and most likely get f&*%ked up on the reef. But! the upper part of G-land (Kongs) is excellent for SUPing and I SUPed it by myself at 6-8 foot perfection and exploring down the reef you can find little gems like the one in the video. Hope you all enjoy Cheers Jonesy

Sweet vid Jonesy. Funnily enough a mate of mine goat boats there every year (for the last 6 or 8 years) on the main break and never has a hassle. He gets worked - dislocated his shoulder last year in 8 foot stuff. I think it depends on the rider cause this guy is cool as far as hassling goes and farkin charges so has no problem with the crew. He's also 6'4"

Good luck to you Raz and anyone that SUP's GLands main break (Money trees into speedie's)!! It's not because I'm or the next legend is soft, it's because the barrel has heavy sections and pinches at each point, with a short board you can doggie door it, but with a SUP you will meet the reef guaranteed!!!!! That was my fourth trip so I know the place well. PS Jamie went there are year ago and was the only person to handle it, so far!

Yes, we surfed GLand together 4 years ago with his son, he gave me this music as a tribute about 2 years ago. Lovely family

Nice turn by your mate John. Saw a mad goatboater out there at low tide Speedies with NO helmet a few years back-his days looked numbered.....
