Do the heats for a comp get drawn from a hat/barrel do they have some other system?

They set up seedings based on the 2011 Aussie Titles results, then on the 2012 State Titles results, then on any other Surfing Australia sanctioned events. They then distribute the seedings across the first round heats. It's not a random draw.

Guys Ill let you know something. There's normally some crew who get pissed off with the way the seedings / draw etc takes place. When the draw comes out, don't be surprised to see some of the better competitors on the same side of the draw...its just the way it works out due to the format.

Now I'm guessing by the red thumbs that no one must like Dave? or maybe just that all the r&d the big company's are doing is paying off as well as have some **** hot paddlers on their boards.
