Hi all, If the local Goldy community can please keep an eye open for the following Hire Boards that failed to return to the shop today. 1 x 9'5 AST Naish Mana 2010 Graffix (Multiple repairs on this board with the grip around handle coming off aswell / With rail tape) 1 x 10'0 HRS Fanatic 2010 Graffix (White/Grey with ruff araldite fixes on bottom/ No rail tape) 1 x Fanatic Timber Carbon Paddle, pretty long 1 x Shapers Plain black paddle, pretty short The 2 people are 1 x male (Medium bulid) Brown hair and 1 x Female (Very thin and could hardly lift the board) Reward is there for anyone that can find these 2 people!!!! We are obvisously far too trusting when it comes to people demo'in boards. This is so dissapointing :( Cheers Angie & Jacko 0437533324 0418722928

It's possible these 2 people are in a White Hire Van! So they may be seen around the place with these 2 boards! Just spoken to JM shop and they were in their trying to demo boards aswell but didn't want to pay the $20!!! Scum bags So they pulled the "oh we just want to demo not hire, we will be back in 15min" on with angie. The male also had a pommie accent Cheers jacko

If they are travellers they will probably be heading either north or south. Byron if they are thick, worth a quick look, but with the weather getting cooler, they would probably be heading north. If they have stolen the boards as it sounds then I reckon they would probably head to the next stop on the tourist map, Noosa and a visit to Frazer Island. Our friends in grey suits might sort them out if they have a paddle in the beaches on Frazer. Check camp sites and carparks in a couple of days as they leave their van and take a 4wd trip to Frazer. Then in about 10days - 2 weeks- Airlie beach/ Cairns. If they are from Europe they may be thinking they have travelled so far they are almost in a different country. I would put out some feelers at key spots up the coast. I hope they are caught. It sucks when your goodwill is abused. I hope they don't read this forum. Good luck.

Did you record the serial numbers on the boards? A handy tip for most people is to pull out the old iPhone and take a photo of the serial number, if it is a Naish or similar production board.

That farking sucks the worst part about this now Jacko & Angie just won't be able to trust anyone who wants to demo boards , so sad. My bet is they will go South to Byron , if the boards are sold there you will never see them again, they could end up anywhere in Australia in the back of a wicked camper van. I'd be hanging around Byron the next couple of days and put some wanted to buy Sup signs on the backpacker and Community notice boards.

Before this we really just ran on good old fashion trust!!but everyone still has to fill out forms for the first time they hire or Demo any of our boards but these people just caught us at a busy time and said they had already done the forms and just sliped through!! and untill some one rips you off its hard to belive people would do these kind of things!!! Now we take all the persons details before they even touch a board!!

Take a copy of thier credit card too then if they nick off run it through as a sale. That is if the card isn't stolen too!

The boys at Dukes did that and also drivers licence,on the weekend I was in Board Culture and they do the same for either hire or demo surfboards, sucks but this sh-t has been going on for a longtime, unfortunately you have to have your guard up. I agree Byron or Noosa way hope you get them back.
