Hi everyone The weather for Sunday is looking good at this stage. We have also arranged a Demo day for the afternoon with a selection of different boards from a couple of the local board shops: Ian from Stand Up Paddle Sports has just confirmed that he'll bring some of the starboard range down. Adam from Coreban will be there with the new Coreban race range, plus cruising and surf boards. There may be a couple of late additions so stayed tuned! Free sausage sizzle on behalf of SUPWA & very much a kid friendly event - playground and great beach area.

I reckon this marks a great day in our history books for SUP in WA For the past 4 or so years I have done nothing but eat, drink, sleep SUP. How good is it?! Well done to those who have made SUPWA possible. You have my full support. Just a question... has there been any logo designs? T-shirts? Stickers etc?

Hi Greenie It would great to see you up here, especially as one of the 'pioneers!' of SUP in WA. Logo is on it's way, we are wanting to get right, aiming for in a month when the website is up. Once this is in place there will also be membership stickers and club shirts.

Still rememebr that day almost 4 years ago Greenie, you, Adam and I were down at Trigg saying we would never sell our 11'2's as they are the most versatile boad and best all rounder there is. Oh how times have changed.

Haven't you still got yours? Kind of wished I still had mine as a family board.

I have some kids paddles, about 3 or 4. Pretty basic ones I made up from plastic blades and broom sticks but they do the job, I'll bring them down.

Just confirmed by Mike Galvin at Stand Up Paddle Surf Shop that he is coming down with some demo boards - New DC's, Fanatic and Starboard Whoppers. Darren from Stand Up Paddle Perth would love to come down - especially with his new surf tech range (they look amazing!!) and Fanatics, but he is away at present for a family holiday.

The forecast is looking great, and the Bicton Baths beach area is very kid friendly. If you are tossing up whether to pop down, just remember that SUPWA is there for all forms of the great SUP sport. From hard core racing to full on wave comps, right through to the starters looking for advice, or those that have been paddling for a while and are now looking to improve their technique. Or just meet up with fellow SUPers. Come down and have a chat to any of the crew, I'm sure you'll find a benefit for your form of paddling. Bicton Baths is near the corner of Braunton Street and Blackwall Reach Parade, Bicton. Free sausage sizzle, and plenty of new boards to try out too. We'll be there from 3pm onwards.

Just heard from Elemental SUP, their trailer will be down with Inflatable SUPs and smaller expoxy boards, perfect for the kids to try out.
