This is the latest board. Came out really well. Surfed it once in some pretty average waves with a little bit of morning sickness. Went pretty good but tippier than anything else I've ridden. Nothing I won't get used to though. Can't wait to get it in some good waves. Feels like it will go real good! Set up as a quad but after first impression I think it might go better as a thruster/2+1. See how it goes the next few surfs. Similar outline to my last one but 1" shorter and .25" wider. Tail width at 12" is 16.85" Dog seemed to approve! Could maybe go a little more tail lift - 4.25" The logo, the Paddle Pop Sea Lion Not the best photo, tail looks thick but it's just on 1" at the end. Slightly hollowed out V/double concave tail, flat through the middle with small amount of concave through the nose. I rekon the nose concave could be overrated!

Na it's pretty rolled actually. I wanted to get the rails a bit thinner. I think the photo is a bit weird though. A bit tippy though. Also the deckgrip is FCS with 10mm side wedges which might make it look that way.

Thanks Lookie! Just thought the boards were looking a bit plain without a logo. I remember a shortboard shaper in California (i think) had a model in his range called paddle pop and I really liked the name. Thought it was good and relevant for SUP. The lion just came from that.

Yeah I remember you told me to bring the tail width in which I did. I'm not sold on double concave V. Had a surf today and I think the concave works against the V. Might be something else, not sure. It may be the quad which is new to me. Seems to be real fast but a little floaty in the tail and harder than I expected to bury the rail. Any thoughts?

Thanks Scotty, the outline to me looks real nice. Nose is the best bit, a little fuller to keep the glide and get onto waves a little bit easier but still the shortboard look. When's your next board coming? Working on anything?

Put a black pin line around the board earlier in the week, made it look about 100% better. Will post a pic during daylight hours. Westernport tomorrow morning if anyone is keen!

I'm jealous...I will be sitting in the office tomorrow. Hope you all get a good one. It could be good in Westernport tomorrow, the swell buoy is at 4 to almost 8 metres, at 12.5 seconds. Fair bit of south in it too, so should be pushing into the Bay really well.
