This arvo on the bay and JC was on his dug-out Starboard and I was on my old Naish Glide. It was only about 20 knots but still good fun.. We even got to see sunshine towards the end.. Jeez it's been a while.. DJ

Brilliant manoeuvre at 1:10. What do you call that? A Hang 2? By the way, are those Skeletoes you're wearing on your feet? How did you find them on a DW?

Nice Video !! So... where did you start and finish? Looks like amazing fun, I would like to give it a try. Not sure I have the right equipment though.

Yes.. That's the hang two ( legs over the side and sit down ) move that I've been working on.. Yes.. The Skeletoes (four toes) are really good.. Much better than my old wettie booties that felt like wet socks when making small steps on the board.. The only problem is if you walk around in the sand too much the sand gets in.. Feels bad.. Then you have to sit on the board.. Take them off and rinse.. Put them back on (not the easiest) and alls good.. The wet suit booties never let sand in. That's what I was doing at 1.10.. Just sitting down for a minute to rinse the Skeletoes.. DJ

You're welcome to joinus any time.. Our normal DW run is from St Kilda to Sandy.. Takes about an hour and a half.. Less than an hour on a good run.. but it's not a race.. What board do you have? DJ

I have a 10'6" which is basically a longboard shape and a Naish 9'3" quadfin. So only really set up for surf.

Mike at the SHQ kiosk has a 14' Glide like mine that you can hire pretty cheap to do the run with us but be warned.. You will get hooked.. The Zu, RPS and SHQ might have demo's that you could try.. I don't think your 10'6" will be much fun.. Do'able.. But not a board that will give you the real DW experience. Tomorrow is looking good.. Real good.. DJ
