with all the travelling sup racers are doing now, i wonder if a 3 piece board consisting of a front section,a 'one and I/2 foot mid section' and the tail section could be the way converts from a 12'6 to a 14' er- one board does all kinda the technology or system could be something every board manufacturer could incorporate into their building process-someone like fcs or futures maybe. but then again the sup builders probably wouldn't want to know about- less sales. cheers

Starboard actually do a 2-pce 11.2 and by all accounts is a good product. No reason why a race board couldnt be in 3 pcs - you could have a hollow board and the joining points would act as bulkheads.

Too many sup ads in a longboard magazine for most Longboarders and we would rather surf than look at pictures

it was done a year ago like billboard said hollow would be the go to keep the weight factor down. what about a 2 piece sliding system- male/ female sections. just think if your doing a dw run on a 17' er and it gets short and choppy- slide her back down to 14'
