i was having a beer with H "Laurie Hohensee" the other night and he was talking about his time in NZ, H was telling me Geoff Darby was doing a bit over there. Funny guy H, i was telling him about some blokes on the breeze and he said "did you tell them i still make boards" H always the salesman i like his story about Bob Mctavish in 1963 bob come up and asking for a job and said he could shape and all the rest of it, but he couldn't, jokes Laurie a clip of H shaping http://www.abc.net.au/local/videos/2010/02/11/2816701.htm

Gee thanks weiry you know I would buy one of his boards , would love to have a talk with him , don't know that I ever meet him I can only remember guy called Lional but he did have two shops one in Whangarai. Were would I find him Weriy I saw one of his boards in the surf museum on theGC but thr guy there didn't know were he was .

Hey TB not 100% but somewhere around 6'2.would have been late 70's or up to 84.

just copyed some old photos i remember Mac talking about the lightning bolt thing was big in the 70s one of my first job's very funny PMS looking at this Edit .. about 74

My first custom board A Hohensee 6'2" SF pin tail 1980/81 and the bottom photo is a Odyssey 6'9" SF swallowtail and my first quiver

Thanks weiry I had a board with a lighting bolt on it to think it was 7' somthing made by Mike Court under the name of Blue Spirt wish I still had it .

the silver sticker was a patch job after 2nd surf when a guy Kooked it right in front of me Edit snapped that sucker. only board ever, and boards were thicker then

Emu Park that place brings back some memories , hung around up there in the 70 s . Went to school at a little place about 50 miles west of there . the swagman out the front of the local pub was the biggest attraction in town .
