I've been out of the loop for quite a few years only coming back into windsurfing last year. This season in Newcastle area has been crap. Is this something that happens every few years or should I take up knitting? |

| Is "knitting" a euphemism for kiting? If it is then ... |

Ha, you had a good southerly season compared to us further north. But generally yeah, seasonal flops happen. Which is why I tend to have a variety of hobbies. COnsider the GC last spring. 6 mths straight of northerlies. Great for us, but the surfers were ready to kill themselves. Then followed by a really dud autumn for swell. Enter the pushy, guitar and skateboard. I get bored really easily, born bored basically. |

yeah, weatehr dependent sport can be a drag. Add surfing and ski-ing, and I've got 3. Not that I surf much since I banged my shoulder. That's where the pushy and guitar come in so handy. |

Flying (hang gliding, paragliding, ultralight flying, soaring) is complementary.
I have to say that paragliding video on shooting the breeze (yes the amazing near death experience one ) made paragliding from updraft to updraft look very appealing.

I can't understand why there wouldn't be a technical solution to cloud suck. If there isn't then I'd give it a miss. |
