Jordo, they are some pretty cool shots.
By the look of it you are getting too good and we might have to move you on to a new location. (Dont want you showing us old farts up toooo much)
Who was driving the camera?
grumps...
it was my mum, who is a photographer in the making, well a begginer
and alMcLeod
i was on 4.8 hotsails smack, underpowerd, and a 82 litre F2 board, (peter thommen) wave. with my pride and joy, custom boom, (ergal king)
i am working on the sequence shots of some of the jumps and a slash, but im not very good with photoshop, so will probaly take a few hours untill you see em.
hey Jord,
Just realised you've got the same board as me, we should get together sometime for a sail, your in leeming yea? Willetton here.
Crazys tomorrow for me
YEAH i will try get down, but i got my last 2 exams on wends, so i doubt i will get down, on thurs i will be down some where, even if it isnt windy
jordy, real nice sunny pics and windy too lucky you..anyways is the peter t. 82l about the same as the 85l f2 axxis or is this a pure wave board cuz mine was more or less labeled as a convertible..
i think it is labeled as a pure wave board, but compared to the new 2007/8 shapes, it looks more of a cross, between freewave and wave. but this could be purly because i had a freestyle wave fin on not a wave fin. never seen the axxis, but if its an older shape like this one (2000) i would think it would be similar.
Nice photos
What is the weed bank like on the western end like? I have not sailed there since working at the shipyard nearby several years ago. Last time I sailed there the west end was really shallow and seemed to be filling in year to year.
My wife wants to learn to sail in the sea rather the river and I found it was a good place for me to start sailing in chop.
the weed at this time of year isnt too bad. it still very patchy, but i was on a 21.5 cm fin, didnt hit it at all. just need to pick your path well. if you head further out near the peak of the rock wall its deap enough on me to beach start in deapth of around the tip of my harness.
for learning, why not try for a lighter day the other bay (southern) alot more sand, shallow, and can go for longer runs, before you hit deap water
Jordo, I see from the photos that you have put your fin in the wrong way!! I don't know how many times I have to tell you that if you want to get better than your old man you have to follow my advice....
...School fella!!
Good luck with exams. See you this afternoon, and we will get your fin in the right way...
