I havent tried that size, but I had a 32cm one that wasnt bad after a lot of reshaping. It would be from 2003/2004. AFAIK these fins were hand shaped not CNC, hence the poor consistency. ie if you got lucky you got an OK one, otherwise they werent so good. I'd say steer clear if you are looking for performance.

Good fins are hard to find. If you cant try it first, then stick with brands known for their consistency. The only one I can vouch for there is Tectonics. I dont have any affiliation with them but on a whole their fins are extremely consistent in production. Thats why most of the top guys still use them for speed sailing in competition. They can buy a set and know that they will work as expected.

Most of the other fins on the market have a lot of variability in production- enough that it makes a noticable difference between fins that are supposed to be the same. Some are better than others in this case. Custom fins such as Deboichet can have a lot of variability in the finish... depending on who did the sanding at the factory. Things are getting a bit better now though. In the last year the production quality of fins from the cobra factory (most G10 fins on the market) appears to have improved significantly.
