Has anyone used the Boggy Lake weather station and does it still exist? It could be handy for those marginal days when there's no breeze in town and an off-chance of a sea-breeze at Boggy. The Boggy Lake website's been resurected. It could be a good place to hook up live weather or a webcam. Put your thoughts here or on our Facebook discussions page.

I would pay a subscription to have the Boggy Wind Station back. If we could raise funds to have it free - even better!

This information is provided on the Australian Windsurfing website: "Wind Monitors: provided by Simon Mee For a Boggy Lake Wind report, call 0403 914 641 Get the latest Wind conditions at Boggy Lake. Get recent wind history. Register your intent to visit the lake - the online service will tell you how many others will be there as well." Phone number no longer works of course. Will need to look into this a bit more.

i believe Simon now is part of the wave fraternity, but back in the day he set up that system and it probably made up over 50% of the calls made on my phone in the warmer months. i believe he had the weather monitoring station set up on the large scaffold tower you can see on the farmhouse just to the west of the rigging area. i think Carl told me Simon took it with him when he started sailing the coast and used it somewhere there. not sure though.

Hi Guys, Simon moved it to Milang when he went to the darkside for a while. In the last couple of months he has been windsurfing back at boggy again. Hope he could set it up again.

Thanks guys. Do you know how I could get in touch with Simon? If anyone's else is reading this and thinks they might use it (I'm thinking free service online) could you reply here or on the boggylake.org facebook page? If there's enough interest I'd like to get it going again.
